What’s Photography? It’s a real way of communication. Each picture is a message that photographer sends to other people and people receive. A photograph can inform about two different moments of a subject.
Photo as document? Photo as archive? They too are a message and can be an information for he future. The most of pictures of a girl-friend, of a trip, of a marriage, of a baby are a message: they have a particular meaning at least for who made them and for his family. It’s not always the same thing for some exposition photos: they are perfect from a technical point of view but sometime they have any meaning for anybody.
Everybody can take a good photograph when he gets in mind that photocamera is only a tool, exactly as the typewriter is for the writer. Really it’s a powerful tool of discovery, exploration and communication, if used by people with imagination and fantasy.
